Does anyone know if it's legal to:
* sample the grandpiano of the latest Roland/Korg/Yamaha electric piano
* give the sample away
* package it (sf2) and put it on my web site
IMHO it is totally legal if you do your own recording (you create the
samples yourself, so you own the copyright), this is the way a lot of
sample cds of instruments work.
Ripping sounds from ROMs is impossible under the DMCA, unless you own
the device yourself.
