I'm going to do a session tomorrow where I
need to have two computers, one with my bass samples, the other with all my other keyboard

MIDI over Ethernet or Bluetooth from one computer to another.
How reliable is aseqnet?
I did a project 3 years ago with it. We dealed out MIDI-notes to 7 PC
running Linux-live-CDs from one master-laptop.
It worked flawlessly well...
Thanks.

Though we learned, that aseqnet only allows a limited number of
connected computers (8 or 10 I do not have it now...)
Only two computers, so no problem there. I am a bit concerned about latency, but we'll
see how that goes.
