you can use Scala <http://www.xs4all.nl/~huygensf/scala/> to generate
tuning files to use with Timidity and other synthesizers. It takes some
time to get used to it but it works very well.
Attached is a command script for Scala which I used to systematically
generate Timidity tunings.
