Ride Of The Valkyries (and you don't get much

Nice work as usual !
But there is no anger in the action or lyrics of Wagner's opera
at this point. The Valkyries assemble on a mountain top, preparing
to bring fallen heros to Valhalla. But they have a problem: one of
them is pregnant and they fear that this may not please Wotan at
all. Which turns out to be the case.
'Excitement' would probably be a better description of what
the Ride expresses. The popular association with anger and
agression is probably the result of the way this music was
used in 'Apocalypse Now'.
1979. Use in "Blues Brothers" 1980. Use in "Rescue on Fractulus"
1984.
Certainly had a bit of a renaissance after Coppola used it in
"Apocalypse Now".
