You could also try purchasing an SBLive! for really cheap just to use
the midi interface. You'd need one of the joystick->midi converters also
(which seem to be fairly widely available).

Hmmm, I'd give it a shot if I were anything but useless with
electronics. I actually contacted ASUS and they told me to call the
RMA line on Monday and ask to purchase and accessory.
Hopefully, they won't gauge me for it....
