I'm using reiserfs as a workaround (I'd
prefer
to have any journalling on my larger filesystems than none at all),
although from what I've read reiserfs might be better suited to
audio applications anyway.
I've been using it for a long time without problems. I use it on all
partitions except /boot and swap.
I usually convert a machine to ReiserFS during Mandrake installs -
after a full backup of /home of course. The graphical partition tool
makes this very easy.
