Does anyone uses oomidi 2 and / or can tell us what to expect really when it
comes to an stable release or not and if yes, when?

I don't know if there is any better information available elsewhere,
but they tweeted this on June 14th:
"The work continues in the background, and we're fairly close to an
RC1 release. Stay tuned!"
