Hm. That doesn't sound very arbitrary. Sounds more like select powers of two.
Can you set the sequence length to 19?

From 1 bar to 16 bars and then 32 and 64 bars.
For me it is in the drop down dialog next to the time signature selection.
This is running ubuntu edgy eft. and pretty sure it has been there the
entire time i have used the program.
