I've seen far more FreeBSD desktops with KDE than
with GNOME.
FreeBSD on the desktop is quite a minority taste though, isn't it?
That's the reason Rosegarden-4 still has vestigial
aRts support in
it, even though it doesn't actually work properly at the moment
That's the rub...
it's the only practical possibility of getting RG
to work
with sound anywhere other than on Linux.
I thought JACK had been ported to OS X, at least initially? If you're
producing serious audio software, I would have thought OS X is the
most compelling target platform after Linux.
