Oh, and I should say that I also bought the ART USB Dual Pre (not tube!)
and it works great--low noise (especially when powered by battery).
Seconded, I've got a USB Dual Pre and it's amazingly flexible and quiet.
I'm a bit surprised the tube version is so bad.
