Isn't Lenovo an Italian company? Or, I remember, ThinkPads used to

huh? really don't know, I pretty much found out what thinkpads are in
the last few days from this list :)
But I don't really think it's italian - tell me how can I spend 1000+???
on a laptop without being able to choose how much ram I want or what
screen. Also more frustrating is that they give this option in other
countries but they will ship only to that country.
I think I read somewhere lenovo is actually Chinese...
I dunno. As I get older, I find my memory is getting less and less reliable. It's
almost like a hallucinagenic state at times, very freaky.
However. I do have a distinct memory of turning over some 2001-2002-era IBM ThinkPads to
open them up many times-- I owned two of them at the time, one for spare parts--, and
seeing "Made in Italy" stamped on the bottom of them.
My apologies if Alzheimer's has set it very early on me.
