This makes absolutely no sense.
Is there some way a flac file can be copy protected when it is
converted to wav? I don't think so :) My only remaining idea is some
nefarious bit pattern.
Sounds like it to me. You might see about putting in a bug report for
the CDR software with a copy of the bad file attached, so they could
maybe figure out what caused it and fix things.
