I've used all 8 analog I/O's with Ardour
- works like a champ :)
I just hadnt dug out hopw to use different inputs with Audacity, if it's
even possible.
You'll need a current CVS version of Audacity for this, or the forthcoming
beta version. Multi-channel support (ie more than 2) was only added recently,
and testing of the feature is needed. Contact the audacity-devel mailing list
list if you'd like to give it a go.

I'm using Slackware. I've been spending my time playing (as soon as I get
home from work), there's some recording I'd like to finish by Friday, so
I've stuck with 1.0 instead of fiddling with the beta version.
I have a very broken cvs of Ardour, I'm going to refresh it tonight. I've
been trying to scale its learning curve. I've been using Audacity for a
while, if the 1.1.x versions will support full-duplex I'll give it a
whirl. I was thinking of taking tomorrow off anyways (I'm like sick or
something ...)
Thanks for the pointer - JB
