Hi, here are three pieces made with a Debian system -
mostly timidity++,
RoseGarden, and ecasound.
Two songs:

-
http://indigo.uk.to/~david/music/68/68.ogg
And a neo-classical piece:

There are notes about the production of each piece in a 'NOTES' file
in the corresponding HTTP directory ( e.g.
http://indigo.uk.to/~david/music/32/NOTES ).
I have very little experience with mastering, and the last piece in
particular needs a lot of work. I don't have much time to work on
these at the moment, but constructive criticism is welcome.
I think your levels are fine.
In 32 there are a few samples that you have chosen which immediately
make the mix dated. They are just too much like old midi sounds for my
ear. Also the lead in drum roll is too even and non dynamic. I think you
could make a big difference by adjusting the timing on that to be more
realistic. You have got it right for the tympani on 36.
I really like the atmosphere of 36. Brooding.
Again with 68 the samples are too dated for my taste. The composition,
mix and levels create a nice Eagles/Roxette/Eurythmics type of vibe
though. Which has it's place.
Cheers.
