Csound too knows about LADSPA and you have the usual effects
built-in. Of course it takes a learning curve. The basic principle
however is easy: output(s) work_module_name input(s)

Nama and ecasound look very promising. I've been meaning to learn
ecasound anyways (due to limited LADSPA support in SoX) and I'm already
familiar with Perl. I'll experiment this weekend.
