I'm not aware about any software or even
proprietary hardware that
makes a guitar sound like a bass.
Most "big" guitar multifx pedals have
had such a function for years,
e.g. the Boss GT-* units. Even my almost 10 year old Boss BR600 digital
recorder has it.
The results may vary, but for simple, not too busy basslines, it can be
usable.
