The bandleader says he needs to rerecord his voice but I doubt that
that will improve the quality any more. What do you think? Are there
parts where a rerecording is badly needed?

This is a very beautiful work. I can't see anything at all wrong with
the vocals. The only thing that jars slightly is the bongo. It seems too
far forward and seems to compete with the voices rather than support
them.
This is just my opinion of course. Others will no doubt disagree!
