revealed that these things are susceptible to an onboard component
blowing out (usually a capacitor). The machine it was on dual-booted
to Windows and it also no longer worked there -- all I got was a 60 Hz
hum on both OSes.
In discussions I had with M-Audio's tech support last month I learned
that the newer Delta 1010s have design changes to fix the capacitor
issue. One of my 1010s is new, and the other is old.
