Assuming I know
what's being discussed, I would
suggest a plugin processing chain that doesn't have a
visual/graphic spectrum analyzer. I say that because
if the tool is useful, it'll get used in every channel
strip and the computational expense might add up in a
hurry--just guessing.
I agree, but it could possibly something that is included but has an
enable button, just incase you want to see something inside the channel
strip. It would be useful to be able to move it to different places in
the signal path. Default should probably be off for exactly the reason
you suggest.
