You should be able to select "mix" as capture source in alsamixer (press
TAB to go to capture settings, space to select the capture source) - but
YMMV depending on the soundcard, I think.

i want to record bristol-output to hdd, but i
don't know how.
I didn't check if Bristol runs on top of JACK, but if so it's simple
using qarecord, timemachine, Ardour or a sequencer like Rosegarden or
MusE.
