Indeed: i record basically somewhat "modern" Rockmusic with some
Experimental/Noise-Addons and i need up to 30-34 Tracks for all the
guits/Percs/vioces etc.
You will
always get xruns if you are recording to the same drive as
your OS.
Other software seems to manage recording a reasonable number of tracks
with just one disk in total though.
Surely in an ideal world, the OS would not be performing disk writes
during recording?
Although I'm not suggesting we all start taking
advantage of Jack.
