Ok then I take it back. You can achieve multi track recording for a few
tracks (< 10) with a single IDE. Go for more RAM.
But if you want to take advantage of Jack then you will be doing more
than 10 tracks pretty quickly.
Indeed: i record basically somewhat "modern" Rockmusic with some
Experimental/Noise-Addons and i need up to 30-34 Tracks for all the
guits/Percs/vioces etc.
Although I'm not suggesting we all start taking
advantage of Jack.
