can sometimes make the Rx numbers in /proc/asound/card0/midi0 go up. I

I've used 'dd bs=1
if=/dev/snd/midiC1D0' when I needed
to confirm that I am transmiting from the source.
Thanks. That didn't do anything, but if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/snd/midiC0D0
caused stuff to happen on the synth it sent it to, so it looks like the
output is working.
