Do you know whether something like this is available
for gnash as well?
Afaik gnash uses gstreamer which basically supports jack afaik, so it
sounds not too hard to do.

I really don't know. I never used gnash. But I found [1]. Last comment
on page says that Gnash 0.8.4 does work with JACK
There is also [2]. It says how to setup gstreamer to use JACK. It's a
bit old but maybe can help.
