If you don't want to use git, click on "commitdiff" and "raw" to
get
the patches which you can then apply to some kernel source. In this
case, you should apply first the two patches below from the ieee1394
tree, if you do not already have them in your tree, then all commits
from the fireworks branch after 2.6.33-rc5.

Both are present in 2.6.33-rc*. db5d24 is unreliable without a
follow-on patch which is also present in 2.6.33-rc* (6 and later). If
you don't want to or cannot use 2.6.33, you can get these and other
requirements (for the firewire side of fireworks) at
http://user.in-berlin.de/~s5r6/linux1394/updates/ as patches for a few
kernel versions. I don't know though which minimum kernel version the
ALSA side of fireworks requires.
