Why not make the Radium the default device by creating an
asoundrc file? Seems to be the much better solution to me.

Furthermore, try qjackctl to connect any MIDI input
device to
Zyn.
I don't think Jack handles MIDI data. ZynAddSubFX does not have any
input ports visible in the qjackctl connection screen.
