I think this is either a bug in their Usb chip firmware or some
engineer tried to be oversmart (i.e. hubs might introduce latency/jitter
hence we won't work with hubs).

The novation Xiosynths don't appear to be happy through hubs - MIDI works, audio
doesn't. Using the USB1.1 hub in my keyboard (big chunky IBM one, not cheap) the MIDI
timing jitter goes from hellish to unusable.
