Brian, fluxbox takes all of 10 minutes to download, compile and install. If you don't like it, you can go back to Gnome. It loads in about 2 seconds vs. the 2 minutes it seems to take Gnome to completely come up. I couldn't make Gnome work reliably on either of my two machines, which fluxbox seems to work perfectly on one, and almost perfectly on the other. (not perfect is a SB Audigy mp3+ - on xrun every 45 minutes or so.) Just focus on learning what makes a PC work well and I think you'll be well served. Redhat tries to force you into using one or the other, I'm going to have to download Dmudi more than likely, and I'll let people know how that goes.
