Yup, I am there. Added it yesterday
ls /etc/security/limits.d/
should show:
audio.conf
if jack was installed correctly. If instead you have:
audio.conf.disabled
audio.conf is there
But now I'm back to the generic kernel. It seems just adding myself
to the audio group was a massive help.
