I tried it, and had terrible stuck-notes problems. Instead I've been using a
slightly-hacked alsaseq2jackmidi daemon for years with decent results.
i totally rewrote the inner core of a2jmidid several months ago. it
will resurface inside the JACK ALSA backend whenever i can find a day
without 48 hrs of work to be done.
