hmm good question, in this case I would just set the tempo in seq24 and make it jack
master (seems to work here), would this be possible in your setup?

PS: thanks to Kevin Meinert's additions seq24 can now also be MIDI slave (bzr
version), but then of course it won't handle jack transport.

Seq24 actually does that since it can be jack
transport slave and output midi clock to a specified alsa
port, still you'll get the sequencer with it ;) . A
dedicated app would indeed be a useful thing for many of us

So, given that Seq24 can follow jack transport and output
MIDI clock,
then what application can be used to set jack transport
tempo? I'm
looking for a single-purpose app, not a large app like
Ardour.
