Ampeg has reissued the Dan Armstrong model so you can still get them.
They're way more expensive though. But they're beautiful guitars with
the double cut and the interchangeable pickups.
The new bass looks like it has a longer scale than the one I saw. The
player had one of the old ampeg folded horns... couldn't hear it on any
stage we used... couldn't get far away enough.
