The Firewire RME hardware won't work with Linux. The PCI HDSP hardware
works wonderfully under Linux. I'm using a Multiface II
I knew about the RME firewire situation. But, I heard that the newer
firmware in newer RME non-firewire gear was also problematic, even in
units that used to be the best options for Linux. Is your HDSP stuff
new or old?
