First off, thanks everyone for all the feedback! I really appreciate it!

Listening now, I like it! Could imaging the addition
of some strings would
fill in some of the spaces, although it would soon take from the ambience
vibe that it has if they're too loud..
Yeah, I feel like this piece almost
implies strings, but I decided to
keep them out specifically for this reason. I feel that this way, the
guitar is more... "immediate."
I like the "mallet" sound, although
sometimes I feel it pushes away from the
scale a touch once in a while... For the "100% cheese factor" perhaps work
that into the scale more. But I like it this way too, its not "generic" like
much of the use of the mallet instruments..
There is a couple of places where I
play a G7 chord on the guitar, and
G-F on the mallets, and although that F should blend in with the
chord, somehow it stands out. But after listening to it for a hundred
times I got used to it, hah.
Hope your well! -Harry
Thanks, Harry!

It's beautiful. If you wanted to add strings, the
small bit between
2:30 and 2:50 would be perfect for it in my opinion, without in any
way "spoiling" the rest of the song. I'd tone down the "mallet"
thing
a tiny bit though, so as not to drown out the guitar.
Thanks, Arve. I had a lot of
trouble mixing this because I'm very
inexperienced. I will keep your comments in mind!

I would like
to share a recording I made recently. These wonderful
autumn days inspire a relaxed tinge of sweet melancholy.
Indeed they do, and you caught it nicely in your music.
Dave, it's great
to hear your comments! Thanks a lot!

Hello Egor!
Hi Julien, thanks for listening!
I don't know, where you put the mic, but the
guitar sounded very dull. It
fits the piece, makes it even more desolate.
As with all the aspects of this piece,
recording is something that I
have a lot of work to do on. But another reasons for this may be that
the strings on my guitar are quite old, and I didn't bother changing
them before doing this recording.
Oh yes I should mention, that
I honestly and from deep within my heart hate autumn. :-) You managed to
capture the feeling of that season very well.
For me, fall is the best season!
You might have put the bells on the
other side or move the hi-hats over, so that you had a little more stereo
panorama. Having had that problem with mylast piece, before someone alerted
me
to it, I'm moe careful towards such things. :-)
I'll keep this in mind.
The overall feeling though is very straight
forward, very homogenous and
perfectly fitting the topic. Well done1 Go on. I hope, tat this was your
ignition to finishing many more songs now. No excuse now! :-)
Sold! I will try to
get something new up very soon.
But next time,
tyou might wish to try Nama instead of using Ecasound raw. Ecasound offers
all the lovely features, but Nama wraps them up nicely and allows fo so many
high-level concepts, that make life as a musician easy and productive.
I know you
are a big proponent of Nama, and I intend to work with it
in the near future. But for this piece one of my goals was to use
bare ecasound, in order to become more familiar with all of its
aspects.
Thanks for sharing and kind regards
Julien
Julien, I really appreciate your input, thanks again!
