I think you can do the same thing with timemachine, everytime you click
stop it will start queuing, and you have 10 seconds to press record again
without loosing anything.

Good idea, it would be more than great if the timemachine developper
could add midi support. Using my midi gear to trigger the record would
be exactly what I need !
