Well...
I tried it with the ensoniq, and the results are the same.
I come through the speakers, but nothing registers on arts, and therefore,
nothing is recordable.
What am I missing?
I have duplexing checked..... I look at aumix, and I Have my levels
up.... The connection is obviously good... the sound comes through, but
the system ignores it.
Is there another way to check duplexing?
I have been at this for weeks... goodnight...

I'm probably wrong about this but I thought that
the soundblaster live
wasn't "really" full duplex. I was under the impression that it was 16
bit in one direction and 8 bit in the other. If you want to do full
duplex you can go get a cheap Ensoniq PCI Audio card. Those definitely
work.

Hi everyone...
This may sound like a stupid question to a bunch of pros like you... but...
I am trying something simple. Soon, I will be building a system for home
recording... but for now...something simple.
Can anyone tell me how I might get my soundblaster live (emlu10k1) to
duplex???
I have audacity installed, and krecord, neither will record anything! I
hear my voice amplified throught he speakers, but I get nothing.
I am using OSS drivers, both the ones from the 2.4.19 kernel source and
the
