Hi Massy!
OK, the macbook is out. It didn't work. No sound, no braille and
difficulties with our external cd-drive. So I will go for raspberry pi
plus USB-keyboard and braille display afterall. :-)

Look into one of those computers built inside a keyboard. Since you
need no display, it might be real convenient. A friend of mine got
one and it's running Linux Wheezy just fine.
