[LAU] [OT] Video editing - working with DVDs

Hello everyone! A friend of mine is in trouble editing DVDs at the moment and is wondering if there is a video editing list for Linux. We both took a look , but didn't come up with anything too helpful. Does anyone of youknow such a mailinglist or forum or is anyone willing to help her? She's trying to cut double layer DVDs so they can fit on two single layer DVDs.
