I don't think Jack handles MIDI data. ZynAddSubFX
does not
have any input ports visible in the qjackctl connection
screen.
In qjackctl, choose connect => MIDI and you will be in
business, regardless if you'd like to use jack or not.
You can also use kaconnect or even aconnect in a shell to do
so.
