i own an eeepc 4G (701) but ALSA makes a lot for
underrun withe de Intel
soundcard (snd_hda_intel). Surprisingly, using the OSS emulation works
better.
The OSS emulation uses the same ALSA API internally; you should get the
same behaviour if you configure your application, whatever it is, to use
the same buffer/period sizes for ALSA as it uses for OSS.
Is it
possible to tell to snd_hda_intel to force the use of the
soundcard in a better IRQ ?
No, I/O-APIC interrupts (above 15) are hardwired.
