Ha, Thomann. They are quite correct. A year ago I ordered the Edirol
UA-20 there, which wasn't supported by ALSA at that time, but I needed
it working for LADConf1. No problem sending the device back and buying
another one (the infamous Quattro: "Finger weg!") The debug info I
collected in the short time I had the UA-20 probably played a role in
getting it working in the end. So in a way, Thomann does even support
Linux... ;)
Anyway I first have to check the financial part of
it...
And it isn't that important, I still have my big machine where I can go 3ms
without problems...
This will be hard to achieve reliably with USB audio anyways. BTW: The
current c't magazine has a test of USB audio devices, Linux test info
provided by yours truly anonymously.
