This is jackd 0.116.1 (Ubuntu 9.04)--not sure how recent of an addition
this is. My understanding is that this is not backend-specific option.
--nozombies or -Z (supposedly prevents zombification of naughtly
clients)
if it is not backend-specific you can always set
Setup/Settings/Server/Server Path = 'jackd -Z'
