Hi Alexander,
I'm running Thunderbird, and the Edit->Account Settings->Folders & Copies
has what you want for the first question. I'm afraid I don't know what
controls its threading behavior.

Btw, anyone else use thunderbird as mail manager? because my replies
never end up in my [lau] folder but in the "sent" folder.. also sometimes
peoples replies start new threads even tho they should'nt why is this?
