threads perfectly and runs inside of emacs. Doesn't make
me dislike mailing-lists any more. All the strengths of mailing lists
are things I simply never use. I just wanna say stuff and read stuff,
nothing more, nothing less.

best "just-for-reading email" client out.
Not so much ported but they develop concurrently on all platforms. I've
been using Thunderbird for a long time on Linux and rather like it, as
for as GUI readers go (I still like Pine and Mutt otherwise). But I
still do all of my list filtering with procmail regardless.
