That is basically the ENTIRE argument from the "pros" who use Cubebase
and pro-tools. According to them people ask for protools specifically
and if you don't have it you don't get the job. Seems rather fishy to
me but I am not a pro recording artist or studio. I do it for fun in
the comfort of my own home.
