Hello all.
I havent had to post anything to such a wide variety of knowledegable
people before so forgive me if I have broken any etiquette, but I
have a pretty big problem.
I recently spent a big wad of cash building a rig based on the
GA-Z68AP-D3 motherboard. I built it primarily for audio production on
linux using my Maudio Delta 66 Rev B sound card. The card works fine
when no graphics card is installed but as soon as I install my NVIDIA
7900GTO card in the PCIex16 slot - alsa fails to see the soundcard.
All I get listed in aplay -l is my onboard sound or, if I switch off
onboard sound, no cards listed.
Hi, mostly guessing, but have you tried plugging the cards in different
PCI slots? Ideally you'd also want your sound card to have a lower IRQ
than your video card - you can find out IRQs with "cat /proc/interrupts"
