I don't understand your question. 10 is the latest stable release.
Cooker is the development version (to be 10.1). Contrib is a separate
repository of good rpms but that are unsupported by MandrakeSoft.
Don't mix cooker RPMs with stable releases. Run one or the other.
My point was this: I hate building from source...never seems to go right
without hours of digging for extra stuff. Hence, I rely heavily on rpms.
I usually set up a "contrib" mirror and also Thacs rpms. 10.0 is
new...on the contrib mirrors, the versions of Ardour, jack, etc are
usually behind. (I know you invest a lot of time into producing these
for Mandrake users and I'm quite sure your busy) Often the Cooker
versions are later versions...
I usually try not to mix them...but in a pinch, sometimes that has
worked for me.

There's not much on Mandrake Club that you can't get elsewhere. The
club is mainly intended to be a way for people who can't buy the CDs to
contribute to the company. You can volunteer to help and get a free
membership, or you can buy a membership.
