Probably, but not necessarily...
It's really easy to do that
yourself in csound using the midiin and midiout opcodes and virmidi as a
loopback driver. Might be lower footprint than having to launch PD as well.
Sure, I don't know why I didn't think of that. Csound would sure be
preferrable over pd to me in this case.
However now that Peter Brinkmann has showed me some python bindings that
I can work with, I think I'm gonna take that direction...
