Hi,
I've been trying to use the TAP plugins in Ardour2 beta 12 and
sometimes de tracks where they are inserted become silent
(this is
using the EQ plugin). The CPU usage stays low so I don't know
if this
is related to the denormal problem I've been reading in the
list
archives.
Has anyone figured out a solution to this? I recorded a session last
Saturday ( on 99.3 ) and
started having the same with the TAP EQ plugin on the bass track. I
decided to convert the
session to Ardour2rc1 and had the same problem. I noticed that i
could get around the problem
by routing the bass track to a bus and putting the TAP EQ on the bus.
This seemed to work
for the first couple minutes of the song, but then it would go quiet
at a specific spot (this is
reproducable because it happens at the exact same spot). I watched
the CPU usage which stayed around 68% idle, so there didnt appear to
be any denormalizing.
I also use the TAP Dynamics for noise gating on other tracks and that
works fine.
I've tried duplicating this issue but haven't been able to do that.
Can you figure out what in that session causes the plugin to be quiet?
Maybe you could whip up a session for the developers which exhibits this
issue?
