Such a tool would have to 'know' how
something is supposed to
sound, i.e. what the expected average spectrum should be, and
then decide if a file is too bright or not. Apart from that,
once the CD is converted to a file there is no other way. So
you'll have to listen.
Ah OK. I thought there was a flag in the meta data.
