It is not tangled there is just so many curls in it now that it curls

it until I purchased a new one. Is there a way to get the curling out?

Put it in near boiling water - not the ends though! - until the plastic
softens, then quickly hang it up with weights on it till it cools.
Alternatively hang it up, then run a hair dryer over it - be careful not
to scorch the cable!
